Mahluga Sadygova - 100.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Theatre Workers, the National Academic Drama Theatre and the State Theatre Museum organized on 16 October, 2017, on the stage of Mustafa Mardanov of the Union of Theatre Workers, a memorial day dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the People’s Artist Mahluga Sadigova. The event was attended by prominent artists, intellectuals, the media and relatives of the actress.
The event was opened by the chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist, Professor Azer Pasha Nematov. He noted that the People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Mahluga Sadigova holds a special place in the history of our national theatre.
The characters she created even today live in the memory of those who knew her. She was actively engaged in social activities, and also supported the youth.
Then A.Nematov gave the floor to the moderator - People’s Artist, State Prize winner Haji Ismayilov. He told about the life and work of Mahluga khanum, and gave the floor to those who collaborated and was personally acquainted with her. Speakers – People’s Artists Saida Guliyeva, Agakishi Kazymov, Rafig Azimov, Honoured Artist Azad Shukurov and editor of the folklore and ethnographic program “Bulag” of the Azerbaijan Radio Intigam Mehdizade shared their memories of the actress, told about the positive features of her character, gave examples of her multilateralism.
At the event, Senan,the great grandson of the actress, a student of the Bulbul music school, showed with his friends with a musical number. There were also shots from films and performances in which Makhluga Sadigov played, some fragments from the “Bulag” radio program were voiced, a photo exhibition prepared by the State Museum of the Theatre was presented.
