Event on the occasion of International Theatre Day
An event dedicated to International Theatre Day was held under the organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Union of Theatre Figures of Azerbaijan.
The event, which was attended by prominent artists, intellectuals and media representatives, was opened by the Chairman of the Union of Theatre Figures of Azerbaijan, People's Artist, State Prize Laureate Haji Ismayilov with an introductory speech.
The Chairman of the Union greeted the participants, congratulated them on the occasion of International Theatre Day, and spoke about the international relations of the Union.
The speakers - People's Artist, Professor Ilham Namig Kamal, Honored Art Worker, Doctor of Art History, Professor Maryam Alizadeh, Honored Artist, Professor Azad Shukurov and others - spoke about the history of International Theatre Day and the successes of Azerbaijani theatre. Between the speeches, video clips reflecting the history of theatre and the international relations of the Union of Theatre Figures of Azerbaijan were shown.
After the speeches, artists with merits in the field of theater were presented with the Union's "Theatre Devotee" medal, the "Golden Rose" award, and Honorary Certificates.
At the end, commemorative photos were taken.
