Presentation of the book “Pages of Life” dedicated to the 100thanniversary of Nasiba Zeynalova, People’s Artist of the Azerbaijan Republic.
On 19 December, 2016, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Azerbaijan Republic and the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan held a presentation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding actress Nasiba Zeynalova, and telling about the life and work of the actress. Famous artists, intellectuals and the media took part in the event of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan.
The presenter, People’s Artist Haji Ismayilov delivered a speech at the ceremony, spoke about the rich creativity of Nasiba khanum and gave the floor to the Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist, professor Azer Pasha Nematov. Azer Pasha Neymatov told about the works of Nasiba Zeynalova, her valuable contribution to the history of the national theatre, shared his memories of the actress.
After the speech of Azer Pasha Nematov, the word was passed on to the author of the book to the Executive Secretary of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, Aida Gafarova. She told about the publications of the organization she represents, and expressed deep gratitude to those who contributed to the creation of the book “Pages of Life”, dedicated to the 100thanniversary of the outstanding actress.
Then Haji Ismayilov handed over the floor to the speakers. Speakers – People’s Artist, professor Agakishi Kazimov, People’s Artists : Ramiz Mammadov, Ilham Namig Kamal, Janali Akbarov, Arif Guliyev, Honoured Art Workers: Aydin Kazimzadeh, Maharram Badirzade told about the positive qualities Nasiba khanum, about her professional skills of characters, she created.
At the end, the granddaughter, actress Nasiba Askerova, thanked the organizers of the event, the author of the book, and said she was proud to be a member of the Jahangir Zeynalov’s family and be named after Nasiba Zeynalova. The event was completed by the chairman of the Union, People’s Artist, professor Azer Pasha Nematov.
The photo exhibition and video images reflecting the life and creative works were presented at the ceremony.
