15 February, 2016. Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan took part in the “Theatre Days” event in Bursa (Turkey) and in the Antalya Konuk Tiatro project

On 15 February, 2016, the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan took part in the “Theatre Days” event in Bursa (Turkey) and in the Antalya Konuk Tiatro project.

On 15 February, 2016, the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, who took part in the Theatre Days event in Bursa, Turkey and in the Antalya Konuk Tiyatro project, held a meeting with media representatives and the creative team of the play “Old Men-Robbers” staged in the director laboratory of the Union.

Along with representatives of the media, the event was attended by representatives of the Azerbaijan State Academic National Drama Theatre, the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the State Musical Theatre, the State Theatre Museum, Azerbaijan State Theatre for Young Spectators,  Shusha State Music and Drama Theatre and the Children’s Theatre.

Having returned from Turkey with vivid impression, creative team under the direction of People’s Artist, laureate of the State Prize Haji Ismayilov, the director of performance, Honoured Artist  -  Nofel Veliyev, actors-  Kerem Hadyzade, Bahruz Vagifoglu and Masuma Babayeva, lighting and stage manager - Zaur Abbasov, sound operator - Nazim Karimli gave detailed information about the trip and demonstrated the video footage.

It was noted that on 23 January –1 February, 2016, the creative team of Elchin Huseynbeyli’s “Old Men-Bandits” play, directed by People’s Artist Jennet Selimova in the director laboratory of Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, took part in the “International Theatre Days Meristepe” held in Turkish city Bozuyuk and in the project “Konuk Tiyatro”, organized by the State Theatre of Antalya and aroused the enthusiasm of the audience. The performance was shown 6 times during the 10-day visit. The “Old Men-Robbers” was shown in the city of Bozuyuk, in the Ugur Munje Municipal Cultural Centre and the Barysh Mancho Cultural Centre in Bursa.

On 28, 29 and 30January, a creative group arrived in Antalya to participate in the Konuk Tiyatro project organized by the Antalya State Theatre.

The creative team, which received awards for participation in the “International Theatre Days of Meristepe” from the City Municipality and from the Antalya Municipality for participation in the Konuk Tiyatro project, ended its visit on 31 January and returned to Baku. Speakers at the event - Chairman of the Union of Theatre Workers of Azerbaijan, People’s Artist, professor Azer Pasha Nematov, author of the play - Elchin Huseynbeyli, director of the Shusha State Musical Dramatic Theatre-  Nazir Rustamov, theatre expert Saleh Slehzade noted the importance of this trip in promoting the national culture in a world culture.
